The role of teachers in the 21st century is to filter the information and teach students what to do with the information that they find." Great way to put this!<br /><br />"This way of teaching seems like it would be very successful to allow more time for teaching during the day and addressing the problems that students have." Flipping the Classroom is a newer concept but can be successful through lots of planning and a thorough execution of the idea. <br /><br />Great job!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11195886895647293159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7496229131376353255.post-17496459708804293372015-06-03T16:20:08.188-07:002015-06-03T16:20:08.188-07:00I like your take on the Dancealot video. In the Networked Student, a teacher is still need to tell the students what to do with the resources that they have. I agree, elementary students are ahead of the learning race. When I was their age, we did not have the technology that they have available to them. I agree that it has its benefits, but I also feel that it may have its downfalls as well. Do you think that a flipped classroom would be successful in a high school or college math course where advanced methods of problem solving that are complicated and in depth would be beneficial? This is also an age group where parents have little to no authority over their students and whether they do their work or not? I understand that it would be beneficial to saving classroom time, but I believe that it may be more helpful to have that available for after class, When students are introduced to complex material, its easier for them to have their questions answered on the spot than having to wait to ask the next day, leaving the teacher to have to teach the lesson all over again the next day. If it was taught and then presented online, I could see how it is more beneficial. I am an old fashioned learner though, so I may just need to "get with the times".Eva Marenohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10626789262288992735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7496229131376353255.post-20004590760579697162015-06-01T12:21:25.393-07:002015-06-01T12:21:25.393-07:00Well done.
